Mr. Balian is a partner of Tilden Signatures and President of  Haverford Homes, which he formed in 1992 and has managed its growth for the past 30+ years - delivering 3,000+ homes in the Washington DC area. Prior to Haverford, Mr. Balian worked at Dean Witter Realty in New York City, where he assisted in the acquisition of properties. Mr. Balian earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.  Mr. Balian has been a past member of the St. Albans School’s Governing Board and a past President of the St. Albans School's Alumni Association. An advocate for the arts, Mr. Balian is the Chair of the Miami Music Festival, which he and his wife helped found.

 Jeff Cohen is a second-generation homebuilder from Washington, DC, with 17 years at Haverford Homes leading land development, marketing, sales, and construction. He has played a key role in acquiring, entitling, and building homes across Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, and Kensington. Jeff has raised over $20 million in private equity for residential projects and overseen developments ranging from a 5-lot subdivision in Silver Spring to a 16-townhome community in Chevy Chase. He holds a B.A. and a Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Maryland, where he’s also a frequent guest speaker. 

Aram joined the Haverford/Tilden team in 2021. He manages and directs new projects. Aram was formerly the Vice President of Operations at Estimize, Inc., a fin-tech startup, managing data analysis at the firm. Before Estimize, he worked in investment banking at Loop Capital Markets in NYC. While at Loop, he helped structure and execute $500 million+ in muni bond transactions . Mr. Balian received his B.A., cum laude, from Columbia University. He serves on the E-Board for the Armenian American Cultural Association, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which supports the Armenian American Wellness Center, a hospital in Yerevan serving at-risk and underserved populations.

Ms. Balian is a founding partner and owner of Haverford Homes and Haverford Realty, creating inviting and comfortable communities in the Washington DC area. Previously, she held positions in finance, at Lehman and Citicorp, as well as in brand management and business development at Procter & Gamble and Levi Strauss. A strong supporter of women and educational opportunity, Ms. Balian was the first female Chair of the Columbia College Board of Visitors, served as Chair of the Harvard Business School Network of Women Alumnae, and was a founding member of the Armenian American Mammography Center as well as the Washington Area Women’s Foundation. Her many other boards include serving and supporting the arts and artists, both locally and nationally. Ms. Balian earned her B.A. cum laude & Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia College of Columbia University in three years, while holding numerous part-time jobs. She also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
