Prior to Haverford, Mr. Balian worked at Dean Witter Realty in New York City, where he assisted in the acquisition of properties. Mr.

An advocate for the arts, Mr. Balian is the Chair of the Miami Music Festival, which he and his wife helped found. Mr. Balian earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from The Wharton School of Business and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Cohen is a second-generation homebuilder from Washington, DC, with 17 years at Haverford Homes leading land development, marketing, sales, and construction. He has played a key role in acquiring, entitling, and building homes across Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, and Kensington. Mr. Cohen has raised over $20 million in private equity for residential projects and overseen developments ranging from a 5-lot subdivision in Silver Spring to a 16-townhome community in Chevy Chase. He holds a B.A. and a Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Maryland, where he’s also a frequent guest speaker.

Mr. Balian joined the Haverford/Tilden team in 2021 and oversees the management and execution of new development projects. He previously served as VP of Operations at Estimize, Inc., a financial technology company, where he led data analytics and operational strategy. Prior to Estimize, he worked in investment banking at Loop Capital Mark

Prior to Estimize, he worked in investment banking at Loop Capital Markets in New York City, structuring more than $500 million in municipal bond transactions. Mr. Balian serves on the Executive Board of the AACA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the Armenian-American Wellness Center, a hospital in Yerevan supporting underserved communities. He earned his B.A. cum laude from Columbia University and is currently an MBA candidate at The Wharton School of Business.

A dedicated advocate for women and education, she was the first female Chair of the Columbia College Board of Visitors, chaired the Harvard Business School Network of Alumnae, and was a founding member of the Armenian American Mammography Center and the Washington Area Women’s Foundation. An advocate of the arts and artists, she also serves on numerous arts and cultural boards. Ms. Balian earned her B.A. cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia College in three years along with an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Balian holds a Master’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, and Quantitative Analysis from Columbia University, where he also earned his B.A. in Economics.
